ISO 15118 is an international standard for Electric Vehicle (EV) communication protocol with an EV-Charger. The standard consists of the following sub-documents:
- Part 1 defines the use cases for EV communication
- Part 2 defines the basic application-layer protocols supporting AC/DC charging
- Part 3 defines the physical and data-link layer requirements for PLC-based communication
- Part 4 and Part 5 defines the testing methodology for part 2 and 3, respectively
- Part 8 defines the physical and data-link layer requirements for WLAN-based communication
- Part 9 defines the testing methodology for part 8
- Part 20 defines 2nd-generation application-layer protocols supporting various new use cases such as BPT (Bidirectional Power Transfer), WPT (Wireless Power Transfer), and ACD (Auto Connection Device), so on.
- Part ? will define testing for part 20
